A camera is a instrument of technology that records images that can be stored directly or/and transferred to another device. Images could be still photographs or videos. The technology used in a camera is very similar to the functioning of the human eye.
The term camera is derived from the word camera obscura in Latin, which means dark room, which is how early images were developed. Early cameras captured images on a photographic film which was then developed in a dark room to produce photographs. The modern camera has evolved now using an electronic image sensor or CMOS to capture images that can be stored in the memory card on the camera or transferred to other devices.
