Capri pants or capris are mid length pants ending at the shin or mid calf or knee , very popular in warm or tropical weather. Capris are popular men, women and children available in cotton, denim, printed or plain, tight or loose fitted. The pants have their name from Capri, an island in Italy where they got popular in 1950s and early 1960s. They were first worn by an American actress named Grace Kelly on that island. Capris have become very popular with sports players, teenage boys and girls. Capris are also known as pedal pushers which are the tight fitted, cuffed version of capris, more popular in denim.
