Pathani is a part of men’s ethnic indian wear that has a kurta paired with pyjamas. It is typically made of cotton but also available in variety of other materials as well as colours. Pathanis are common to men only. It consists of the kurta falling from the shoulders loosely extending right up to the ankles with slits going across the sides up to the hips. Pants worn under the kurta are called pyjamas that can be loose or tight fitted tapering at the ankles very similar to the salwar worn by women under a kameez.
